Acetates
5 December 2004
This is pretty old school at this point. Not every mastering facility does them, but most do. Using the same cutting lathe, he cuts a rough acetate, playable 50 or so times. Its a large hunk of metal with an acetate coating. This is a great learning experience, not to mention the insane intensity of dropping your exclusive dub plate for the drooling massive. Example price : $30 for 10" , $50 for 12".
Personally, its over. CDR or laptop.
